Itchituchnee Spring

We have had the opportunity to float down the Itchituchnee springs a few times. The first time I was a little weary about alligators. . .but our friends did some research and alligators don’t like cold moving water- so it is safe. Sophie and I still sat it out with a friend and her baby. Dusty had bought a raft for Isaac, Emma and himself. They had a great time and the kids practically swam the whole time rather then sit in the raft. So we decided to go with some more friends a few weeks later. As we drove into the park/ springs we had to wait in line about an hour it was backed up and super busy. Come to find out the “North entrance” was closed due to an alligator sighting! Thanks for the research . . .we still went and made sure we were in the middle!
